1. HOW TO ENTER.
The Post a Job to Win Monthly competition starts on 1st Oct 2009 and will run monthly with a winner declared each month.
- For the first month the competition will close on the 30th of Nov 2009. Subsequent competitions will run from 1st Dec 09 - 30th Dec 09 and 1st Jan 10 - 31st Jan 10. To enter you must
(1) create an account on ServiceBazaar.com by registering at https://www.servicebazaar.com/register . You must fill in your full account information once you create an account putting your country information.
(2) Once registered you must post a job. Any job that someone else can bid on will qualify. It can also be a vacany you have for a job position at home, work etc. It must be considered legal in your country and in the UK. If in doubt ServiceBazaar will have final say on whether the entry will qualify.
To post a job you may post a job using any of the 2 options here Quick Post & Post a Job. The job must also be a valid job such that should one bid on the job it can be awarded and carried out. You may enter as many times as possible and each job submitted is considered an entry. There will be a bonus prize
Entries for each month shall be considered for the period mentioned if entered between 12:00am on the first day of the month to 12:00am on the last day of the month. (Other than the Oct dates which will run between Oct 1st & 30 Nov). The time shall be based on GMT. Our timing shall be considered final. On submitting the job a video must accompany the submission. A job posted without a video submission will not be eligible as a valid entry for the prize.
There are 2 ways to submit your video entry. You may include it as part of the original job posting or you may post a job later. All videos must be posted on youtube. You may in addition post your video at http://community.servicebazaar.com as a blog entry. For further information on video posting refer to further information here. IMPORTANT: At the end of your video you need to say "Check out and bid on this job at ServiceBazaar.com"
2. JUDGING
All qualified entries will be judged based on the following criteria (a) Quality of Job Posting - job must be a useful job that someone else can bid for. (b) originality, uniqueness and creativity of required job (c) video posting quality - how descriptive the video is, some humour and fun will also not hurt either. (d) how many people have viewed and voted for your video. (Once you post your job post it to your various firends to view, facebook, myspace, twitter. The more exposure your video & job posting gets the better it is for your entry). At the end of the month there will be a 2 week window for ServiceBazaar to review submissions and the winner will be annouced in the last week of the month after entries close. So for the Oct submissions the winner will be annouced by 31st Dec, for Dec entries winner will be annouced by end of 31st January 2010 and for January submissions winner will be annouced by end of 31st February 2010. Our employees and those of our participating partners and members of their immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or those living in their household, whether or not related) are not eligible.
The decisions made by the Judges will be final and binding.
3. ELIGIBILITY.
This competition is open to all other than residents those in countries with which there are UK / EU sanctions that we as a UK business must observe. All UK laws and regulations apply. The following are not eligible Cuba, Iran, Balkans, Belarus, Code d'Ivorie, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Liberia, North Korea, Sudan, Myanmar / Burma, Syria, Zimbabwe. 4. WARRANTY
You warrant and agree any entry submitted will comply with the general terms and conditions of the site in addition to the competition rules.
(a) It does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party;
(b) it is not subject to any third party agreements that woulc conflict with, or limit, the rights granted to ServiceBazaar under these terms and conditions;
(c) dies not defame or interfere with the privacy or any third party;
(d) is your own original work;
(e) does not contain (in our opinion) any sexually explicit, pornographic, violent, racist, discriminatory or otherwise offensive material;
Breach of these and or any other website rules would result in disqualification from competition, removal of entry from competition and closure of your account on ServiceBazaar if necessary.
5. PRIVACY
All information collected by us will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy here.
6. PRIZE
(a) One Winner Prize, consisting of
- £1000 Pounds in Cash. This will be paid via Paypal. Those winning the prize and located in the UK can also request a cheque. This prize will be paid within 30 days of announcing the winner.
(b) One Bonus Prize consisting of
- £250 Pounds in Cash. This will be paid to those who after submitting their job progress to award and complete their job and create a video of the finished work or job or showing the delivery or action of the job posted being carried out. One does not need to win the main winner prize to be eligible for this. This will be paid via Paypal. Those winning the prize and located in the UK can also request a cheque.
- This prize will be paid within 30 days of announcing the winner
Prizes are awarded without warranty of any kind from us, express or implied, without limitation. Contest winners are responsible for paying any additional taxes to comply with all applicable tax laws and requirements. If additional information is required by ServiceBazaar in the course of disbursing the prize it must be provided within reasonable timeframe (5 working days) otherwise the prize will be forfeited and we may award the prize to another winner.
7. iNTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & PUBLICITY RIGHTS
- (a). By entering the competition you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty free sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare deritive works of, display and perform your entry in connection with the competition without limitation
(b). If we are notified an entry violates a third parties copyright it may be removed from the competition and will be disqualified from the competition.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By Participating in the contest you will not hold ServiceBazaar or any of its partners, employees responsible for any injury, damage cause or claimed to be caused by the entrants participation in the content or acceptance and use of any prize. We will also not be heldresponsible in any way for any disputes or issues with any content submitted for the contest. This does not limit your statutory rights.
9. RIGHT TO TERMINATE CONTEST
ServiceBazaar may cancel, modify or suspend the competition at any time for any reason - including because of other evenets beyond our resonable control. When changes are made the rules will be updated accordinly to reflect the changes and will be deemed sufficient. No other correspondence or communication will be entered into.
10. GENERAL CONDITIONS
We reserve the right to cancel the contest for that month in the event it does not receive a minimum of 1000 eligible entries for different entrants.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of United Kingdom and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts exercising there, and waive any right to claim that those courts are an inconvinient forum
